Zachary is a 2-year-old silky or Yorkshire terrier mix. This cutie is an extremely happy guy that loves everybody. He came in with horrendous injuries and multiple vets refused to take on the complicated surgery needed. We persisted until we found a wonderful vet, Dr. Richardson, who has helped us with complicated surgeries on multiple occasions. He had surgery to remove his right rear leg on July 5th and is all healed. 

Zachary has done really well in a foster home with 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 chickens. He is quite agile, handling steps and the leap onto the couch with ease. He holds no grudges for what was done to him and is very loving and eager to please. He does not like other dogs sniffing to linger near his pelvis or face and will give a little warning to back off.  He has learned house manners, comes right away when called and walks well on leash. He has gained confidence and will entertain himself—he was a bit of a velcro dog upon arrival. He still does not like to be left alone for too long but has done well as an office work companion.
