18 Months, Hound Mix Callista is 18-months old with long silky ears, weighs only 30 lbs. She has the hound personality but doesn’t bay. She likes other dogs and is hoping to be adopted by a loving family. It appears she tolerates cats and is crate trained. We suggest when she is in her new home situation that you show her where she needs to eliminate and remember your vigilance is essential for her success. Puppy training classes are essential as are chew toys and exercise. She would make a great second dog. We would not suggest that such a young dog be left at home alone for extended periods. She is well suited for a stay/work at home family member.
