Big Dog Rescue is set among the natural surrounding landscape of the beautiful rolling hills of Penngrove, CA. Our rescue dogs enjoy their days in play yards, lounging in the warm sun, swimming in their pools when it is hot and spending much needed time recouperating from their expereinces in the shelter environments.

Big Dog Rescue is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for our rescue dogs including the mental and physical stimulation they so much need and desire.

Volunteering at Big Dog Rescue would provide our dogs (and our volunteers) a peaceful and enjoyable day of leisure walks on our property, playing fetch in one of our yards, a much needed brushing or just hanging out visiting with other dogs and people.
