Tribute to our Buddha Dog's Passing The gentle giant on our logo was inspired by, and has the face of, our beloved friend Robbie. He passed from this earth on January 6, 2011. He will be sorely missed. He came to Big Dog Rescue as a puppy but was an old soul even then. He acted as Grandfather and nurturer to many new dogs. He stole our hearts and found his forever home with us. Sweet, gentle, Robbie, has left us with broken hearts; we will live by the lessons taught to us by him. They were: love your family, love your friends, take care of the puppies, take care of the old dogs. Always share your food bowl, offer your toys to others and show them how to play. Remember some may be scared of your color or size. Be patient they will learn to love and trust anew. Kindness and compassion will show the way. Stay close to your loved ones, never hold a grudge, live life to the fullest extent of your being. Gone, but with us always. Go with our blessings and love to your next life. Wishing that you receive as much love and joy in your new life as you willingly shared with us in this life.
